Ryan Field annual work weekend June 17-18, 2017

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

The RAF is having its annual work party at Ryan Field, West Glacier, MT, the weekend of June 17-18. It is through the work of dedicated volunteers that we are able to maintain Ryan Field as a wonderful pilot destination, located near the majesty of Glacier National Park.

Several jobs need to be done that include some property line fence repair, cutting firewood, tree trimming, grass mowing and general cleanup after the winter. The work period is self-catering, but breaks can be taken to get a meal or two in West Glacier. If you come, be sure to bring appropriate clothing. If you drive, it would be helpful to bring a chainsaw, as well as a pickup truck to haul firewood, slash and fence repair material. If you have a small lawn mower for trimming small sites, bring that.

The RAF desires that Ryan Field look its best at the annual fly-in the following weekend. Join us in helping make Ryan Field a place we can all be proud of.  Chuck Jarecki is the work party master and questions can be directed to him at: cjarecki@theraf.org
