Fall is a fabulous time to fly. Our event calendar may just give you some ideas of where to touch down during these crisp, colorful months. Clicking on any event title will take you to the RAF events calendar page with more information.

October 4-9: Wentworth Aerodrome Fly-In, New Hampshire.

The Wentworth Aerodrome (NH96) Fly-In is held from Thursday October 4 through Monday, October 9. Flyouts are held to Vermont and Maine. Friday night barbecue and camping all weekend is a treat. Wentworth Aerodrome has showers, and the hangar is used as a place to congregate as well as a fire hub.

October 12 & 13: Texas Antique Airplane Association Fly-In, Texas

The Fall Festival of Flight, hosted by the Texas Chapter, Antique Airplane Association, with the cooperation of the City of Gainesville, Texas, is scheduled for October 12 and 13. This event offers a chance to see the planes of the past and meet the pilots who lovingly maintain them. It is a chance to make new friends and renew acquaintances with pilots and airplanes who are long time friends.

October 13 & 14: Trigger Gap Fly-In, Arkansas

This year's Trigger Gap (17A) fly-in is taking place Saturday & Sunday Oct 13 & 14th. Feel free to arrive Friday (10/12) night if you would like.

Water, camp stoves/grill available for all. Bring your camping gear, basic food and personal items.

Some work will be accomplished both Saturday and Sunday on the Trigger Gap airfield during the weekend.

October 19-21: WV32 Bridge Day Fly-In, West Virginia

Hosts Ginny and Gary Kessler are rolling out the welcome mat for pilots to fly into their airfield and enjoy West Virginia’s largest single-day festival known as Bridge Day. Every third Saturday in October, thousands of people gather on the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayetteville, West Virginia to watch daredevils BASE jump nearly 1000’ into the Gorge below. Arrive on Friday to take in the fall color of the beautiful West Virginia mountains and then head on over to Adventures on the Gorge (a one-mile walk) to enjoy local food, art, and live music from 5-8 pm.

October 20: Benton Airport 10th Annual Fly-In, Pennsylvania

The 10th annual fall fly-in, pig-out is coming up at Benton airport (PA40) on Saturday, October 20, 2018, rain or shine. All are invited! Fly-in, drive in, or walk in any time. A ham and roast beef lunch with all the fixin’s will be served with ice cream and homemade pies for dessert. Lunch is being served starting at 11:00 am for a donation.
