A handful of fantastic aviation events are taking place in February, and we are sure to add more events over the coming days and weeks. If you haven't already, bookmark our events calendar on your web browser and check back frequently for updates. We also post event information our RAF Facebook page

February 8-10: Copperstate Fly-In, Arizona.

The Copperstate Fly-In at Buckeye Municipal Airport (KBXK) is being held in conjunction with the Buckeye Air Fair on February 8, 9 and 10. The event will include educational forums, aircraft displays, aviation vendors, youth activities, an airshow and much more. Attendance and parking are free. Arizona RAF State Liaison Mark Spencer will represent the RAF in orange at the event. Mark is also giving two talks at the event:

February 9 at 11am: Arizona backcountry update and legislative activity
February 10 at 11am: Mark Spencer and Tommy Thomason will give a talk on the Arizona backcountry and airplane camping

February 15-17: Grapevine Monthly Fly-In Weekend, Arizona

Join the Arizona Pilots Association for their monthly fly-in weekend.

Friday night: Camp out under the stars

Saturday: BBQ and Potluck Lunch (Donation of $8 encouraged)

Saturday Night: Potluck & Camp under the stars and tell stories around the group campfire!

Sunday: Most folks depart by noon

February 15: Stanley Winterfest Skiplane Fly-In, Idaho

The Stanley-Sawtooth Winterfest is a celebration of community; a light-hearted opportunity to shake off the cabin fever and embrace the season. Weather permitting, we expect to have some folks representing RAF in orange at the event!

February 22-24: Creighton Island Fly-In, Georgia

A fly-in event will take place at Creighton Island Airfield in Georgia on February 22-24, 2019.

Activities include: Hiking, exploring (most of the island is undeveloped and unchanged dating back to the civil war era), kayaking/canoeing, bird-watching, airstrip & site maintenance.
