Summer is here, and the RAF event calendar is filling up with aviation events! Clicking on any event title will take you to the RAF events calendar page with more information. We highly recommend checking back often with the calendar, as more events are being added each week.

June 1: McKenzie Bridge Airport Work Party, Oregon

A volunteer work party will be held at McKenzie Bridge State Airport on Saturday, June 1. The objectives will be to demonstrate our commitment to the airfield by making it safer and more attractive for the recreational aviation community. We plan to have a potluck meal early Saturday evening. Plan to bring food to share.

If you plan to fly in to help, please arrive Friday night, or before 9am on Saturday. Once we start operating the tractors to repair the airstrip surface, it will be difficult to accommodate a lot of aircraft arrivals.

June 1 & 2: Bowstring Work Party, Minnesota

Help is needed for a work party that will be held at Bowstring Airport (9Y0). Work will begin at 8am on Saturday. The goal of the weekend will be to add two campsites to the airfield. Underwing camping is available for the work party. Tools and equipment will be provided. Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner, and Sunday breakfast will also be provided.

To RSVP, email MN State Liaison Kurt Pennuto at kpennuto@theraf.org or text: 612-209-3478. Please indicate if you plan to fly or drive in. Your RSVP is needed for food planning.

June 1 & 2: Pierson Fly-In and Camp-Out, Florida

Join Eagle Sport Aviation Flying Club for an overnight camp-out!

Arrive anytime after 12 pm. The June 1st dinner will be around 7 pm. Camp overnight and eat a pancake breakfast around 8:30 am on Sunday, June 2nd. Meals will cost $5 each or you can bring your own. Ground and perhaps flying activities planned.

June 15: West Yellowstone Airport Campground Work Party, Montana

A work party will be held at the West Yellowstone (KWYS) campground area on Saturday, June 15. Fly or drive in, bring your work gloves, and RAF will provide Saturday lunch.

Let us know if you plan to help so we make sure to have enough food on hand. Please email info@theraf.org and let us know how many in your group.

June 15 & 16: Ryan Field Work Party, Montana

We have a list of chores that need to be done to prepare the field for summer flying. Fly in or drive, bring your work gloves and tools and we will provide lunch. We will work hard but have fun as well. If you fly, be sure and request the 2019 Ryan Safety briefing. Let us know if you think you are going to make it for the work day so we make sure to have enough food on hand. Just send an email to info@theraf.org and let us know how many are in your group.

June 15 & 16: North Dakota Pilots Association Fly-In at Riverdale, North Dakota

Everyone is welcome at the North Dakota Pilots Association Fly-In at Garrison Dam Recreational Air Park (37N) in Riverdale, ND.
