March 16: 3rd Annual Migratory Bird Fly-In, Illinois

Canada geese, snow geese, trumpeter swans, pelicans and ducks numbering in the hundreds to hundreds of thousands make up one of North America's most spectacular migrations.

Arrive at Havana Regional Airport (9I0) by 9am. Early arrivals will be treated to a pancake and sausange breakfast. You will be transported to the Emiquon Wildlife Refuge (https://www.fws.gov/refuge/Emiquon/) where you will have an opportunity to see and photograph these birds. A wildlife biologist will explain the ecosystem that supports them, their habits and migratory patterns.

March 22-24: 2019 Blackwater Work Party, Florida

Roll up your sleeves and get ready for a fun work party at Blackwater Airfield (8FD3). Among the tasks to be accomplished: install BBQ grills, repair picnic tables, hang a new sign, realign runway tires, and paint.

There is primitive camping at Blackwater and the bath house is a short hike. Please bring all of your own camping gear and bring all of your own food to support your stay.
