RYAN FIELD READIED FOR SPRING
Seventeen volunteers tackled annual spring cleanup and readiness at Ryan Field near West Glacier the first weekend of May. Working throughout typical Montana spring weather, they added eight tie-downs, set out chairs and picnic tables, cleaned bear boxes, removed brush, cut trees, bucked and stacked firewood, and seeded, fertilized and dragged runway areas. The barn and four cabins were swept, windows and the courtesy car were washed.
The bathrooms and showers in the barn are ready for use, but at this time, running water is not yet on in the pilot shelter, nor is there a caretaker. Watch for future announcements.
As always, be sure to obtain the current year’s required Safety Briefing before flying in to Ryan Field, 2MT1, and please sign the visitor log upon arrival! More information about Ryan Field, including details about camper cabins for pilot use can be found on our website here. To check cabin availability, email ryancabins@theraf.org.
