CLICKERS OR DOERS
In today’s “watch me” world, and the bombardment of colorful imagery, it’s sometimes difficult to discover who the RAF is, and how we do things. Mostly because we always try to shine the spotlight outward as opposed to inward. Naturally, the RAF does utilize social media to get our message out, and to tell stories that we hope will inspire more to move from clicking to doing. There is a difference between clicking and doing, and we call doing “The RAF Way.”
Different because we strive to get things done. Things we believe – and hope you agree – that create better experiences at more of the special places we work to preserve and care for, all across the country. We rely on doers rather than bystanders to accomplish the RAF mission.
Doers come in lots of different forms, but the one thing they have in common is they lean in when they see something that needs doing. They are there with their time, work effort, and financial assistance. They are participators, not bystanders.
So, while clicking can be entertaining and can fill up a rainy evening, there is not much that happens simply by watching a YouTube clip. By the numbers, aviation is a small group, and as a subset of that population, the RAF is somewhat smaller yet. Therefore, we rely on you, the doer, to pitch in. It doesn’t take much effort to click, but it does take some to help on a project. So, while we appreciate your clicking, we really value your doing, putting in some effort where you can towards your chosen project.
