The entire RAF Board of Directors, including new Directors Joe Brown of Vermont and Matt Foster of Illinois convened for their annual in-person meeting at the Yellowstone Airport in Bozeman, MT January 23-25.

The board meets virtually each month, but in January, the Directors meet in person. The two full days of focused discussion included an appraisal of the many accomplishments made by RAF volunteers during the past year. New ideas were explored for a “basecamp and outpost” concept across the country, and initiatives on aviation safety and education. Guest speakers from the aviation industry shared perspectives relevant to recreational aviation.

RAF President Bill McGlynn said, ”I really look forward to our annual meeting because when all our board members come together, the energy is high and we inevitably discover new ideas to fulfill our mission.”
