AIRFIELD GUIDE COMMENT FEATURE ENHANCES LISTINGS

Users of the revised RAF Airfield Guide will find the new “Comments” feature valuable. Check it for airfields you’re interested in for updated information. 

A recent example is the news that RAF President Bill McGlynn posted to the Moose Creek, ID listing. A July 24 thunderstorm caused significant damage to the campground and Ranger Station. McGlynn included details of the storm and cleanup plan, as well as photos of the downed trees.

When planning trips, be sure and check the Comments section in the Airfield Guide for updates. The RAF encourages people with knowledge of the listed airfields to add relevant comments, to help enhance the information regarding amenities and conditions of airfields. This is not a substitute for NOTAMs, nor TFR’s, which should be part of any preflight planning.
