ANNUAL UBCP FLY-IN AT SMILEY CREEK, IDAHO

The Utah Back Country Pilots will have its annual Smiley Creek (U87) fly-in July 9-11. There will be a catered dinner for a nominal charge on Saturday night, hosted by the UBCP. No RSVP is required. Bring your tent and camp next to your airplane. There are a few built-in tie-downs, but bring your own tie-downs just in case. Hot showers, flush toilets and wifi are available at the Smiley Creek airport.

Enjoy an ice cream, breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Smiley Creek Lodge across the street from the airport, bring your own meals, or fly out for breakfast. The Smiley Creek lodge also has a small general store. There are hiking, biking and fishing opportunities abound. Gather a group and drive the courtesy van to Redfish Lake for swimming, paddle boats, outboard motor boats, paddle boards, as well as a lodge with restaurant. You can also fly out to nearby Idaho backcountry airstrips.
