OR: HELLS CANYON WORK PARTY

This annual work party is undertaken in collaboration with the Idaho Aviation Association (IAA) and Willowa County Pilots Association (WCPA). Maintenance on the Dug Bar (OR8) airstrip, and if there are enough capable and willing pilots work will commence on several of the other nearby airstrips in the Canyon.  The group will meet at Dug Bar at 8 AM (Pacific Time) and go over the tasks to be accomplished along with safety issues. Tasks include weed eating and raking runway markers and windsock areas, installing new windsocks, as well as painting some of the runway markers, mowing runways, taxiways and parking areas. 
LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED.

If you plan to attend, PLEASE EMAIL YOUR RSVP to one of the following contacts so we can get a head count. In the past, this has been a popular event, which means there could be a lot of aircraft in the Canyon.  Please review the safety briefing provided at https://airfield.guide/filter_airports.asp. Transmit your location and intentions on 122.9 and be vigilant of other aircraft. Remember, there are power lines crossing the Snake River about 2-3 miles north (downriver) of Dug Bar.
