ID – MOOSE CREEK WORK PARTY

Oct 04, 2024 8:00AM—Oct 07, 2024 5:00PM

Location

Moose Creek airfield, Idaho

Volunteer help is needed for completion of a crossbuck fence around the historic ranger station at Moose Creek (1U1) airfield in Idaho. This is a continuation of work that was started last fall. The fence is important for keeping Forest Service stock off the runways. The work is not overly demanding and mostly consists of moving fence rails for a small team to assemble 10 foot sections of the crossbuck fencing. It goes amazingly fast with more volunteers, so we encourage you to come out. The camaraderie is classic RAF. Bring a tent, sleeping bag, gloves and favorite libation – we will provide the 3 square meals everyday. Make sure you register; we need a final headcount by September 15 of volunteers who are committed to attend, so we can plan for meals. Work begins October 4 and completes at the end of the day on October 7.
