NMPA GILA REGIONAL FLY-IN, NEW MEXICO

The New Mexico Pilots Association (NMPA) annual fly-in to Reserve Airport (T16) in the Gila National Forest is coming up, with fly-outs to 6 Gila area airstrips. It is expected that pilots read the available safety briefings (links below) for any backcountry airstrips they visit. 

Reduced to $50.00 per person this year, with kids 12 and under free. Includes Friday dinner cookout and catered lasagna dinner provided Saturday, plus breakfast provided both Saturday and Sunday mornings.  A new NMPA “Fly the Gila” t-shirt included for each registrant. REGISTRATION CLOSES at 1pm on AUGUST 30 for NMPA planning purposes.

Tent camping is allowed on the field. Water and electric on site, and county provides porta-potties. Shuttle provided into the town of Reserve and to motels at Hidden Springs or in Reserve. 

Or book your own motel room – note it is a holiday weekend so book ASAP!   A block of rooms is held for NMPA until August 9 at Hidden Springs Inn, 1 mile from airport.
