WV: CHEAT RIVER FLY-IN

The Fall Cheat River Island Fly-In is a gathering for general aviation enthusiasts on beautiful Cheat River Island located just outside Rowlesburg, West Virginia. Saturday, October 7 is the main event. Lunch will be provided from 12 – 4 pm. Feel free to fly in the day before and camp for the weekend; all are welcome. Coordinate: 39.32° N / 79.66°. This will be a weekend of flying, camaraderie, and fun. Arrive by plane or drive in and ride the shuttle to this secluded island paradise.

You’ll have the opportunity to walk around and check out a variety of different airplanes. It’s a great chance to watch airplanes landing and taking off, see a variety of aircraft up close and talk to the pilots who fly them. There will also be opportunities to explore the island, or just relax.
