NORTHWEST AVIATION CONFERENCE

The RAF exhibited at the Northwest Aviation Conference held in Puyallup, Washington February 20-21. We renewed old acquaintances and met many new supporters over the two-day event.
Visitors to the booth were visually transported to the backcountry in front of the beautiful Lord Flat scene. They relaxed in our campsite convincingly staged with shrubs, tent, sleeping bag, camp chairs, fire ring and coffee pot! Free trail mix encouraged everyone to stop by and learn more about our organization.
On Saturday, RAF president John McKenna and director Tim Clifford were met with a capacity crowd to hear their RAF seminar on back country flying destinations and the role each of us can take in preserving these natural resources.

Special recognition goes to each volunteer: RAF Communications Director, Carmine Mowbray, RAF Directors Tim Clifford, Chuck Jarecki, Dan Prill, and Jerry Cain; Washington state RAF liaison Bob Kay; directors’ wives Trisha McKenna, Margie Prill and Ann Clifford and writer Mike Todd and his wife Peggy all of who worked selflessly in support of this event.
Everyone contributed long hours traveling, preparing for, assembling, staffing and tearing down the booth, thanks to all.
