RAF ENJOYS A GREAT WEEK AT SUN ‘N FUN

The RAF thanks Aviat Aircraft for graciously hosting our volunteers in their prime location throughout the week of Sun ’n Fun in Lakeland, Florida, April 1-6. Aviat’s eye-catching, RAF-branded Husky drew folks in to examine the capable aircraft, and learn the RAF story.

Thank you to all who attended the “Power of Partnership” Forum, with presenters Matt Hofeldt, VP of Brand at Aviat Aircraft; and RAF Chairman John McKenna. RAF Supporter Karen Larson wore her RAF orange at Aviat during the week, and said, “We volunteers had the opportunity to share the RAF mission with attendees, re-unite with fellow supporters, and revel in the joy that aviation brings to all of us.”

Aviat and the RAF co-hosted a Wednesday evening Jambalaya Feed in the Bushwheel Basecamp area, where folks connected with old and new friends. “They chatted of upcoming projects and get-togethers as we start the flying season in many parts of the country,” Larson added. Regarding the variety of aircraft used to fly recreationally, Hofeldt observed, “We all end up at the same campfire.” Larson summed up the feeling by adding, “What a great perspective. We encouraged many people to get involved in local projects with like-minded pilots and friends.”
