RAF GEARS UP FOR 2020 CONFERENCE SEASON
The Recreational Aviation Foundation is pleased to announce that you’ll be seeing dynamic RAF representation at multiple aviation conferences this year.
We’re starting in Arizona at the Copperstate Fly-In, February 6-9. RAF volunteers in orange will share a booth with the Arizona Pilots Association.
Next it’s on to Washington State at the Northwest Aviation Conference in Puyallup on Saturday and Sunday February 22-23. Come visit the RAF booth and get up to date on developments that have preserved or improved airstrips for recreational access. RAF President Bill McGlynn is scheduled to speak on “Why Backcountry Flying is Important to the Future of Aviation.” See conference details here.
The following weekend, Thursday, Friday and Saturday February 27-28-29, the action moves to Great Falls, Montana for the Montana Aviation Conference. RAF Chairman John McKenna and Secretary-Treasurer Mike Perkins will join Montana Liaisons Ron Normandeau and Scott Newpower at the RAF booth.
You’ll want to be sure and attend RAF Board Vice President Todd Simmons’s multi-media presentation “Point of No Return: A Backcountry Pilot’s Accident Experience and Lessons Learned” slated at 10 am on Saturday, February 29 at the Montana conference. We expect this to be a very popular topic, so get your seat early!
RAF will be at Sun ‘n Fun in Florida (date TBA), followed by the Upper Midwest Aviation Symposium in North Dakota March 1-3, and at the Great Minnesota Aviation Gathering on April 24-25.
Watch for future announcements of RAF participation in aviation events across the U.S. for one near you!
