RAF HONORS NICOLAS CHABBERT WITH GOLDEN PULASKI AWARD

The RAF honored Daher Aircraft CEO Nicolas Chabbert with its “Golden Pulaski” award July 21, 2025 during AirVenture’s opening day. Chabbert was recognized for his outstanding contributions toward the RAF’s mission to preserve, improve, and create airstrips for recreational access. RAF President Bill McGlynn and Directors Steve Taylor and Matt Foster handed the smiling Chabbert the impressive “golden” pulaski, a hand tool that symbolizes the spirit of volunteers’ grassroots efforts to preserve our country’s backcountry and recreational airfields. “The pulaski is our go-to tool for backcountry airstrip maintenance, and really represents the heart of what we do,” McGlynn said.

Chabbert provided the Kodiak 100 and 900 aircraft for numerous RAF missions for the delivery of materials and personnel, in cooperation with the US Forest Service. “We deeply appreciate Nicolas Chabbert and Daher Aircraft’s support in accomplishing our goals, including a notable mission to help reestablish operations at the Forest Service’s Moose Creek, Idaho backcountry airstrip after a forest fire,” RAF Chairman John McKenna said.

Thanks to Chabbert’s commitment, Daher Aircraft will continue providing additional Kodiak flights through 2025 to assist with RAF commitments on Forest Service backcountry infrastructure projects in Idaho.

“The Daher-built Kodiaks are extremely versatile, and have enabled the RAF to complete remote backcountry improvement projects that otherwise would be impossible to accomplish. To say that the Kodiak is a game changer is an understatement, ” McKenna added.
