FRIENDS OF ARCADIA AIRPORT HOSTS FLY-IN

Friends of Arcadia Airport wrapped up another successful three-day event Nov. 10-11-12 at Aviation City (X06). The City of Arcadia helped, as did new RAF Florida State Liaison Bobby Capozzi and his wife Kim.

The Florida Sport Aviation Antique & Classic Association (FSAACA) were our guests and the event brought a wide range of aircraft types and visitors.

Friday evening, airport manager Shelley Peacock saw to the installation of a giant slide and bounce house for kids.

Saturday morning, Friends served a pancake breakfast beginning early to accommodate those going on the Canoe Safari Peace River trip. More pilots arrived, some with their families to enjoy Fun Day. The group made good use of the RAF-provided barbecue grills for Saturday night’s cookout and the Nocatee Singers led a sing-along around the campfire.

Sunday morning, Friends served breakfast prior to campers flying home, taking great stories of Aviation City and Arcadia.

You can reserve Aviation City campground any day for yourself or a group of pilots to camp or hold an aviation-related meeting. Reserve your date on our website: http://foaa.us.
