UPDATED GUIDE FOR PRIVATE AIRFIELD OWNER NOW AVAILABLE

In response to recent requests for information about privately-owned airfields, the RAF has updated its Guide for the Private Airfield Owner. The RAF recognizes that private airfields are invaluable for aviation access to recreation and offers this discussion of considerations when allowing others to use your airfield.

This resource gained the endorsement of AOPA. It answers important questions such as, “Am I liable as the landowner in case of an accident?” The Guide includes steps to get your airfield charted, with updated information from the FAA; and discusses legacy concerns.

We encourage all owners of private airfields to click here to view the Guide for the Private Airfield Owner or request a printed version from us at the RAF by email, or call 406-582-1723.
