WHERE WILL YOU CELEBRATE RAF’S 20TH BIRTHDAY?

By now you know the RAF is celebrating twenty years of success thanks to the efforts of our volunteers! This year, we encourage you to join the fun and get out to the backcountry – which to us is more than a place. It’s a style of flying we enjoy, whether arriving at your favorite private gem in the east, or a mountain airstrip in the west – anywhere you find yourself relaxing after a scenic and stimulating flight. Maybe it’s dipping a line into a creek with a grandchild, hiking with your partner, or pulling your camp chair closer to the fire beneath the stars and sharing stories.

In the past, we invited everyone from all over the country to socialize at RAF’s annual Ryan Fly-In the last weekend in June. This special anniversary year, rather than a single location, the celebration will happen all across the country. The weekend of June 23-25, 2023 the RAF Directors and staff will be flying out to enjoy what brings us all together – the special places that we treasure all across the country.

So pack your tent, and have fun with people you enjoy, and remember what the RAF has worked so hard to protect all these years – these special places to share with one another.

If you are in the area, you are welcome and encouraged to enjoy Ryan Field anytime. Don’t forget that you must get a safety briefing prior to landing there.

Lakewood Lodge Airport by June 23rd, so I hope we can be joined by
a few RAF Members for a Birthday party!

I am in on a birthday party! With that in mind from what I read there will NOT be annual fly-in at RYAN Field this year, BUT we are welcome to fly there and celebrate the RAF’s 2Oth Birthday party. Am I understanding this correctly???
