32ND NORTHWEST AVIATION CONFERENCE AND TRADE SHOW FEB. 21-22 IN PUYALLUP, WA.

The Recreational Aviation Foundation was well represented at the 32nd Northwest Aviation Conference and Trade Show Feb. 21-22 in Puyallup, WA.

Beginning on Friday, the RAF was warmly welcomed and lauded for its contribution to aviation along with AOPA, and the National Seaplane Pilots at Washington Seaplane Pilots’ Grounded Hogs dinner.

RAF Washington State Liaison, Dave Whitelaw, John Whitelaw and Montana State Liaison Ron Normandeau volunteered in the RAF booth, along with Jo Schumacher, wife of the late Washington State Liaison Bob Kay. This hard-working crew answered questions in front of a backdrop showcasing recreational flying.  Joining them in the booth were co-founding directors Chuck Jarecki and Dan Prill. Wives Kathy Normadeau, Penny Jarecki, Margie Prill and volunteer Tom Morris were also on hand in trademark RAF orange attire.

The RAF booth was a busy place where old friends renewed memberships and made generous donations while new friends learned about our mission and enjoyed the RAF’s camaraderie. Our cap raffle sold out and twenty happy people went home with RAF caps specially designed for this event on Sunday. First place winner of cap #1 was WPA member Tom Jensen.
