ANNUAL RAF FOUNDER’S CAP DRAWING WINNER

This year’s RAF Founder’s Cap drawing drew a virtual crowd for a convivial 20-year celebration of the tradition. As always, only 150 numbered caps were offered for $100 each near the start of the year. The RAF fundraising campaign began 20 years ago, and the hats always sell out.

On the evening of April 5, RAF Chairman John McKenna recapped a bit of RAF history, extending the suspense and amusing everyone, even the kids in the online audience.

Supporter David Kerley of Texas was this year’s lucky winner, and will receive a Garmin D2 Air X10 Aviator Smartwatch that was donated to the RAF for this fundraiser.

Of note on the call was longtime RAF supporter Perry Brown, whose face appeared in front of his impressive display of Founders’ caps, which he has loyally purchased year after year.

The RAF thanks everyone who supported this year’s campaign. Your support goes to the RAF mission to preserve, improve, and create airstrips for recreational access.
