CAPITOL TRIP FURTHERS MISSION

Arriving this week in our nation’s Capital were RAF Arizona Liaison Mark Spencer and his wife, Stefanie; and RAF President John McKenna. It’s a working trip, since Congress is getting back to business after the holidays. “It’s important that new members of Congress recognize the value of recreational aviation,” John said. The RAF delegation was especially pleased to meet Representative Martha McSally of Arizona. Coincidentally, she is a former A-10 pilot that flew under the command of RAF Director Peter Bunce.

Mark has been working hard on the ground in Arizona with US Forest Service personnel, and said he now wishes to establish a good working relationship with political officials. The RAF has proven that relationships with policy-makers are key to furthering the RAF mission.
