RAF 2022 FOUNDER CAP DRAWING WINNER ANNOUNCED

The much-awaited 2022 RAF Founder Cap campaign concluded the evening of March 17 with a virtual drawing. We are pleased to announce this year’s grand prize winner is pilot Patrick Romano who has served as RAF Colorado Liaison since 2012.  He and his wife Lindsey both enjoy flying the backcountry, always in taildraggers.

Patrick will receive the limited edition Spirit of the RAF medallion print, and an RAF Gear Pack, hand selected for him including Nocs binoculars, RAF SlideDown tie-downs, the RAF Buck Knife, a byta water bottle, and other apparel and gear. Our three “door prize” winners are Matt Foster, Richard Beckert, and Scott Conner who will receive gifts in appreciation for their support, as well.

See outfitter.theraf.org for these and other useful items. All purchases go toward the RAF mission.

This RAF tradition began in 2004 with just 25 numbered caps. Each year they sold quickly, leaving some folks disappointed to have lost out. Now 150 caps are available for the historical price of $100, and still sell out.

A big Thank You to everyone who participated in this annual campaign, many of whom attended the virtual drawing. Your purchase supports the RAF mission to preserve, improve, and create airstrips for recreational access.

Watch for the announcement of our next annual Founder Cap fundraiser in early 2023.
